Development Milestones
SSI has pioneered the development of cryogen-free superconducting magnets for pre-clinical MRI applications and for human MRI applications. SSI was first to produce:
- 1.5T preclinical cryogen-free MRI magnet for Johns Hopkins University, 2008
- 3T preclinical cryogen-free MRI magnet for MR Solutions, 2012.
- 7T cryogen-free NMR magnet for Victoria University, 2013.
- 7T preclinical cryogen-free MRI magnet for Mediso, 2015.
- 9.4T (400Mhz) Cryogen-free NMR magnet for NIST, 2022
